Dear Helix Alumni and/or Scottie Booster,

Thank you for your past support of the Helix High Foundation.

There is an old adage that says "Good, better, best, never let it rest, 'till good is better and better is best." I believe we have passed "good" and we are on our way to "better", but we have not reached our "best". We continue to improve each year by awarding more scholarships to students, and our collection of money for scholarships and endowed scholarships gets better.

We had 92 paid members this past year and we thank our members for their help. We hope you will renew and that we can triple our membership in 2008-2009. Remember we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, so all donations are tax deductible. If you have a tax problem because you have too much income, please let us help. JOIN NOW!

Our financial progress can be summed up as follows: in 2005-2006, we awarded 5 scholarships valued at $27,000; in 2006-2007, we awarded 18 scholarships valued at $42,500; and in 2007-08, we awarded 38 scholarships valued at $59,800 to our Helix graduates. Some of our scholarship monies are held in trust and distributed over a four-year period. 

Please consider renewing your membership, or if you are a first time member, welcome aboard. As you can see from the membership brochure, general membership starts at $25 followed by class membership, Scottie, and Highlander membership (Click on the "Membership" link below for more information).

In order to make a difference in our community, we need your support. I have enclosed a brochure for hard copy mail and we have a website with information on Helix Charter High and our alumni for your review.
